As of June 17, we are staying open for our summer camp program. Our camps are small with 4-6 students and we encourage siblings and friends to sign up together. Our Covid plan is to follow state guidelines for day camps. We will provide medical grade protective wear for indoor use and extra cleaning protocol for frequently touched surfaces. We will need support from parents with such things as sending your child to camp every day with a clean cotton mask for outdoor use and their own hand sanitizer, and taking your child’s temperature every morning. You will receive more information and details might change as we get closer.
About the camp schedule during Covid-19…….
In trying to stick to my plan mentioned above, some camps may only have 4 students, which means they might fill up fast. However, I will be adding more dates. If your preferred camp is full, please shoot me an email and request a date. First come first serve. If I can accommodate your date, then that will be put on the schedule.

About the Mid-Coast Community Darkrooms:
2020 marks our 25th year of offering photography camps, classes, and workshops, as well as private instructions and darkroom rentals. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for students of all ages to learn photography in a creative and supportive environment. Courses are held year-round for youths, teens, and adults in after-school, evening, weekend, and week-long programs. Instruction ranges from beginning through advanced. We have other opportunities for photography education for the whole family at CoastalMainePhotoTours.com. Join us!
Summer for youth and teens:
There are B&W darkroom camps, a digital camp, and a photographing animals camp. There are camps for ages 9-14, 11-16, but please note that the age groups are a bit flexible. Camps often form by request, and with that, I recommend that you check back for any additions to the current schedule, or contact us to express your needs. Go to the About Youth & Teen Programs page for general details. Go to the Summer Camps page for info on individual camps.
For teens and adults: May 30 & 31
A two-day, weekend Digital Camera Controls course for teens and adults will include classroom work and a couple hours shooting out in the field. Students will have a good understanding for the creative controls of their camera. For information about the class click here.
